CAS Week 10: Activity (Learning Outcome 4 and Learning Outcome 5)

 (A) Traveling to Connecticut

During the summer, my family and I went to go stay with my Dad in Connecticut, since he had moved up there for his job in the beginning of May. We left at around the end of June, and to get to Connecticut, we had to fly from Houston to Chicago to Connecticut, which turned out to take more than a day. This is due to the fact that Chicago had bad weather the day we were going to leave from Houston, so our flight kept on getting delayed. This worried me a lot, since we had a connecting flight from Chicago, so I was worried that we weren't going to make it. Sadly, we didn't make it on our connecting flight to Connecticut, so we had to stay in Chicago for the next two days after making it there.

Surprisingly, we weren't the only people that were stuck in Chicago at the time, as a lot of flights from Chicago had been canceled, so we were one of many families that were stuck there at the time. However, we were able to have a nice 2 day stay in Chicago, before getting on our flights back to Connecticut. This time, we went through Newark and Rhode Island. From Rhode Island, my dad picked us up, and we drove to make it to Connecticut! It was definitely a journey that I hadn't experienced before, so there were definitely a lot of worrying, and fun moments along the way. Mainly, this is something that I hope I don't have to experience anytime soon. This experience definitely tested my perseverance and patience in our journey to Connecticut, but I feel like both me and my family were able to overcome all of our challenges during our trip!
