CAS Week 1: Activity (Learning Outcome 2)

 (A) Biking around my Neighborhood

A few weeks ago, I started biking around my neighborhood. I began to ride with by myself up to ends of our street, and around the other surrounding streets near our house.

I wanted to build some exercise and athletics into my daily routine as I was doing distance learning, and decided to try to consistently ride my bike a few times a week to get that exercise in. I also wanted to be able to go outdoors more, given the circumstances and situation we're in right now with COVID-19.

So far, integrating biking into my week has been successful, as well as helpful. I've begun to ride with my family as well after school. In addition to a good way to build some exercise into my mostly indoor days, it's become a good way to spend time with my family outside of our house. It’s definitely been a little bit more difficult, as I didn’t usually bike as much prior to the pandemic, but this experience has definitely been a little challenge that I’ve been able to overcome. Through this process, I’ve also been able to further my biking skills!
